Him: So, we’ve decided then. She’ll go to day care full-time.
Me: I guess…
Him: This doesn’t mean she has to go every day. But I think this will really work out the best.
Me: I suppose…
Him: You don’t sound convinced.
Me: I can’t help but wish the situation were different so that I could just stay home with her.
Him: I know.
*moment of silence*
Me: But you know what?
Him: What?
Me: If I did stay home with her, I probably would be worried that was messing her up, too.
Him: Well, at least you’re honest.

We all mess up our kids in different ways. At least now you can blame the day care people…

Back when I was working full time (now I just write, or at least try and act like I do) the hubby and I had almost the same exchange. And ya know, the imp did ok. Dare I say she actually fared pretty well, and Buddha will too!
You pretty much rock, ya know!
